Our Main Objectives
Who is BeChild
BeChild (formerly KidsRainbow) is a nonprofit organization registered in the United States, Italy, Türkiye, and Syria, committed to supporting vulnerable children and refugee communities in Turkey. Our community centers in Gaziantep provide safe spaces where children can access education, engage in creative activities, and receive psychological support. Through our programs, we strive to empower young minds, foster resilience, and create pathways to brighter futures.
Language Workshops
Languages Literacy equips people with basic reading and writing skills, empowering them to engage in society, access better opportunities, and improve their quality of life. By educating the next generation, we pave the way for a brighter future rooted in knowledge and creativity.
Creative and Performing Arts Programs
Creative arts programs help children develop skills in drawing, music, theater, and other forms of expression. These activities boost imagination, critical thinking, and emotional well-being while fostering self-confidence, communication, and problem-solving in a supportive environment.
Psychosocial Support (PSS)
Psychosocial support helps individuals overcome mental and social challenges from hardships like war, disasters, or daily stress. Through counseling, therapy, and guidance, it improves mental health, emotional balance, and coping skills, fostering healthier, more resilient communities.
Awareness Workshops for Parents
Parent awareness workshops equip families with tools to support their children’s psychological, educational, and social development. They focus on effective communication, mental health, and education’s role in shaping futures while providing strategies to address daily challenges.
Computer Literacy
Digital literacy equips kids to use technology safely and effectively, enhancing learning, creativity, and critical thinking. It opens future job opportunities and fosters innovation, shaping a tech-savvy generation that contributes to sustainable development.
Our Community Center
KidsRainbow - Turkey Gaziantep
Kozanlı Mahallesi
We began operating in Gaziantep's Akyol district, where many Syrian families live. Concerned by the lack of educational opportunities for young Syrian refugees and kids under temporary protection, the organization emerged as a safe and inclusive learning space where to develop skills and strengthen community bonds. Our main objective is to provide language support (Turkish, Arabic, English), as well as other creative activities, in the hope to give our kids a chance for a better future.
Our Vision
OUR VISION AT BECHILD IS TO CREATE A SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY WHERE EVERY CHILD HAS THE CHANCE TO ACCESS EDUCATION, EMOTIONAL GROWTH, AND OPPORTUNITIES THAT HELP THEM BUILD THEIR FUTURE WITH DIGNITY AND HOPE. WE AIM TO LEAD IN EMPOWERING CHILDREN IN AREAS AFFECTED BY CONFLICT AND DISPLACEMENT, BY CREATING SAFE SPACE THAT SUPPORT THEIR DREAMS AND ENCOURAGE THEIR CREATIVITY. WE BELIEVE THAT EVERY CHILD, NO MATTER THEIR BACKGROUND OR SITUATION, DESERVES A FAIR SHOT AT BUILDING THEIR FUTURE AND REACHING THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.
Our Impact
BY ENHANCING EDUCATION, PROVIDING PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT, AND DEVELOPING CREATIVE AND DIGITAL SKILLS, WE HELP EQUIP CHILDREN AND INDIVIDUALS WITH THE ABILITIES THEY NEED TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN REBUILDING THE COMMUNITY. WE BELIEVE THAT INVESTING IN EDUCATION IS THE BEST WAY TO BUILD A SUSTAINABLE
